A dark cozy game where the town’s gossip decides who you become.

Your aunt Hesper has vanished. Her apothecary is yours now, along with her cat, her debts and a town that will not stop talking about you.

Lanternmere sits on the shore of a black lake where the fog never quite lifts. Every week, the Warden writes the town’s strongest story about you into the Book of Names, and it becomes your title. Be kind and they call you gentle. Get caught in the graveyard after dark and they will say much worse.

What you will do
🌿 Gather moonflowers, ghostcaps and shade dust. Where and when you pick them changes what they can do.

🏪 Run your aunt’s shop for customers who bring problems, not just orders.
💬 Talk your way through funny, branching conversations. Every villager has their own temperament, and the town remembers how you speak.
📜 Hear 30 epic tales told in pieces by different people, then go and find out if they were true.
🧵 Get pulled into storylines that bring the town together, or apart.
🏮 Walk the dark with your lantern staff. Shades learn from what the town believes about you.

A world that remembers
Nothing simply resets in Lanternmere. Plants spread and die out. Coins carry the stories of where they came from. Rumours grow as they travel. Places appear on your map only when enough people believe in them.
